Anusha Subramanian: I started my career 17 years ago as a general news reporter with Mumbai’s leading tabloid 'Mid-Day'. After 4 years of stint I took the plunge into business journalism by joining The Observer of Business & Politics, now defunct. A year later I moved to Business Standard where for four years I tracked the media and entertainment industry. After 4 years I moved to Hindustan Times for their business section and finally managed a bigger role in Business Today. I have been fortunate to specialise in M&E industry besides writing some offbeat stories covering subjects like conflicts and socio-economics. These exposures saw me being selected for the Chevening Scholar, UK in 2012 as also bagging The Press Club Award for best reporting and excellence in Journalism during the same year. With ‘Business of Entertainment’ being my specialization, I have also been fortunate enough to be interviewed by CNN's South Asia bureau and BBC Radio 4, London as a media expert talking about the Indian M&E sector.
